Katharine Leigh Simpson
reincarnating the life energy of the materials
be those organic or man-made
through this cyclical continuation, I heal the consequence of waste and give nature a voice
the art of
the voices of wind
and water
I arrange textures and color to represent
vibrations, waves,
birds, creatures, and other phenomena…
into a manifest spiritual revelation
the voices of all the powerful spirits of nature
My texture is built with layers, each informing the next, supporting the structure until it is inter connected so much that it’s shape is held together by tension
my most recent public work
“Flowing Alchemy”
an over 160’ installation of waste materials, plastics, reyclables and nuisance plastics depicting a river being healed by red tailed hawks and blue herons.
